2007 is going to be an exciting year!

2007 brings a feeling of newness and excitement. Those are good
words to describe our first Venable Studio Benefit Concert. The
concert was a huge success. We raised $1500 for the American Heart
Association and had the most fun doing it! We had a packed house and
the show was nearly flawless. We all had so much fun, I think we'll
make it an annual event. I'm so grateful to all my students who
participated and to so many others who helped to make the night such
a success.

Speaking of success, my students seem to be achieving a lot of it.
All my students who participated in Solo and Ensemble Competition
this year got one ratings across the board at both the regional and
the state levels. Students have had supporting and leading roles in
the musicals "Suesical", "Man of LaMancha", "Music Man" and "Tommy".
I have students who have participated in regional honors choir, state
honors choir, all-state honors choir, Michigan Arts Festival and
students who have been accepted into very competitive college music
programs. And who knows, by the end of June we may have the reigning
Miss Michigan in our studio! I have the best job and I'm so proud of
all of my students and their accomplishments.

Currently we are focusing on expanding our services. We just
finished producing DVD's and CD's of the Benefit Concert and are
beginning production of a new set of vocal exercise CD's that are
going to be really exciting. We are also offering beginning piano
lessons and custom recording services. It's important to me to give
my students all the tools they need to reach their dreams.
